Kimberly-Clark Philippines recently held a community outreach program in partnership with Bahay Aruga, a halfway house for pediatric cancer patients. Employees from across business divisions came to volunteer and show their support.
Bahay Aruga was founded in 2014, in one of the country’s busiest cities, Manila. It provides temporary shelter for over 30 families from various provincial areas, whose children are undergoing chemotherapy at the nearby Philippine General Hospital. Corporate partnerships and donations enable Bahay Aruga to make cancer treatment more accessible to less-fortunate families through the provision of free shelter, food, clothing and medicine.
In addition to personal contributions from employees, Kimberly-Clark donated Huggies diapers, Kleenex bathroom tissue, Kotex pads and soap dispensers. Through its community outreach efforts, Kimberly-Clark Philippines and its employees are delivering their commitment to providing essentials for a better life.
